Inspired by the extraordinary landscape of Charnwood Forest and the poetry of the Anglo-Saxons, these resources offer a guide for children to write a modern version of an Anglo-Saxon-style riddle that unfolds to reveal something exciting and closely connected to Charnwood Forest. That might include its exciting geology, a particular building or place, part of its ecology, or perhaps a special object. These resources were created in collaboration with award-winning Leicestershire poet, John Berkavitch.
