One-off Donation – Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) govern the relationship between you (the donor) and us (Charnwood Forest Geopark, as part of the National Forest Company, company number 02991970, registered charity number 1166563 “Charnwood Forest Geopark”, “National Forest”, “us”) in relation to any donation payment you make to Charnwood Forest Geopark through our website https://www.charnwoodforest.org/.
By confirming on the website that you wish to make a donation you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions for that donation.
Our Agreement with You
Making a donation on these terms and conditions not constitute the creation of a contract. We have complete discretion over whether to accept a donation and reserve the right to decline for any reason whatsoever and provide a full refund. The agreement between you and us will be entered into once we have accepted your offer and processed your donation.
The Donation
We will use your donation at our discretion but within our stated charitable objectives, and in accordance with our Fundraising Promise.
All donations through our website are to be made via our payment services provider, Stipe. By confirming that you wish to proceed with your donation you authorise Stripe (or such other payment services provider as we may use from time to time) to request funds from your credit or debit card provider (as applicable).
Gift Aid
When you donate to us through our website and confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme as they apply from time to time, we can reclaim Gift Aid.
It is your responsibility to determine whether you qualify for Gift Aid and we are not able to provide any form of legal, financial or taxation advice in this regard.

Acknowledgement
We will send you prompt acknowledgement by email confirming receipt of your donation. If you do not receive such an email from us please do let us know as soon as possible.
Ongoing Donations
These terms and conditions only relate to one-off donations made through our website. If you wish to make regular donations to Charnwood Forest Geopark, please see below for the appropriate Terms and Conditions.
Refunds
As a registered Charity, we are subject to regulation by the Charities Commission for England and Wales under The Charities Act 2011. As a rule, Charities are not permitted to refund any donations. However there may be exceptional circumstances. If you have any other concerns regarding your donation or a potential donation, please do contact us using the contact us form.
Regulation
Charnwood Forest Geopark, as part of The National Forest Company is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and acts at all times in accordance with the Code of Fundraising Practice. For further information on the Fundraising Regulator, please visit https://www.fundraisingregulator.org.uk/.
General
This contract is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms.
All personal information that you provide to us from time to time will be collected, managed and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For further details please visit our Privacy Policy page.
If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if we delay in taking steps against you in respect of your breaking this contract, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent us taking steps against you at a later date.
These terms are governed by English law and you can only bring legal proceedings in respect of the products in the English courts.
Supporters’ Scheme (Monthly Donations) – Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the relationship between you (the donor) and us (Charnwood Forest Geopark, as part of the National Forest Company, company number 02991970, registered charity number 1166563 “Charnwood Forest Geopark”, “National Forest”, “us”, “we”)) in relation to your participation in our supporters’ scheme for ongoing donors (the “Supporters’ Scheme).
By confirming on the website that you wish to sign up for the Supporters’ Scheme you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (as amended from time to time) until such time as you cease your participation in the Supporters’ Scheme.
1. Donations
You, as a participant in the Supporters’ Scheme, agree to make monthly donations to us. We will use these donations at our discretion but always within our stated charitable objectives, and in accordance with our Fundraising Promise.
All donations via the Supporters’ Scheme shall be paid via Direct Debit, which will be processed via our payment services providers, Stripe. By confirming that you wish to participate in the Supporters’ Scheme you authorise Stripe (or such other payment services provider as we may use from time to time) to request funds from your bank account (the details of which you will provide at the time of requesting to join the Supporters’ Scheme) via Direct Debit each month.
2. Gift Aid
When you donate to us through our Supporters’ Scheme and confirm that you are a UK taxpayer in accordance with the requirements of the Gift Aid scheme as they apply from time to time, we can reclaim Gift Aid.
It is your responsibility to determine whether you qualify for Gift Aid and we are not able to provide any form of legal, financial or taxation advice in this regard.

3. Changes to Donations
You can request to change the amount or payment date for your donations by contacting us directly, using the contact us form.
We will endeavour to enact any changes to your Direct Debit donations requested by you as soon as possible. However, we may not always be able to change or cancel a donation before a further payment is claimed at the previous Direct Debit amount or on the previous Direct Debit date.
You will, at all times, have the right to opt-out of receiving newsletters, updates and other correspondence sent to you as part of your Supporters’ Scheme participation. For further information regarding this please see our privacy policy.
4. Cancellation
If you wish to cancel your participation of the Supporters’ Scheme please contact your Bank and/or Stripe to cancel future direct debit instructions to us. You can also let us know that you are / or wish to cancel by email or telephone.
We will endeavour to cancel your membership as soon as reasonably possible but if the cancellation is requested shortly before an upcoming Direct Debit payment date, it may not be actioned by your Bank until after that payment has been taken. In such circumstances, your cancellation will take effect from the next Direct Debit payment date.
5. Refunds
